Information for Parents & Carers
As you have probably noticed there has
been increased building activity on the site next to us over the last few days.
We have been told
that as from next week the road access to the Pre School will be altered.
The road you usually
drive down to Pre School on will no longer exist.
To get to Pre School you need to drive
down the second road on the right as you come into the University site (this runs parallel to the existing road).
Once on this road, we recommend that you park in the large car park on the left and walk round
to the Pre School. The far end of the buildings where the builders are currently working will become a road, giving us vehicular/pedestrian
access to the setting from this other road.
We have been told that we can drive round to park in front of
the setting, but we think visibility round the 90 degree turn will be limited. We are concerned there will
be a safety issue here and would appreciate it if you could walk across from the other car park due to the number
of young children who may be in this area at the start and end of the Pre School day.
Wherever you decide
to park, please take care when coming into Pre School. We do have a key to the back gate if you would like to come
in the back way. The back route is probably safer, but the path does need to be cleared before we use it. For this
we would need some parental help at the start of next week (week commencing 8th Feb).
The contractors
assure us that there will be signs directing us in so please don't worry about the new arrangements. We will continue
to post any new information we receive regarding these changes.
